Bletia catenulata

Bletia catenulata is a large terrestrial orchid and tuberous geophyte known as the chain-shaped bletia. It occurs in south tropical America in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil on embankments, landslides and open clearings in wet montane forests as well as swampy locations at altitudes of 200 to 2500 metres. It grows in a wet tropical climate, preferring cool temperatures and partial sun, and flowers in spring and summer.
