Catasetum saccatum

Catasetum saccatum is a large pseudobulbous epiphyte from south tropical America where it grows on trees in tropical montane forests at altitudes of 200 to 1700 metres in Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Brazil. It prefers wet tropical climates with intermediate temperatures and partial sun. The species produces fragrant flowers in winter, spring and early winter.
