Cattleya Porphyrophlebia belongs to the genus Cattleya. It has Cattleya intermedia as its seed parent, a species native to south-east and south Brazil to Paraguay, and Cattleya violacea as its pollen parent, a species native to south Tropical America. Veitch registered the grex with the RHS in 1885.
