Cymbidium suavissimum

Cymbidium suavissimum, the Softest Cymbidium or Guo Xiang Lan in China, is a large epiphyte with terrestrial growth habit. It is native to west Yunnan, south-west Guizhou and Guangxi in China and to north Indo-China. The plant grows in wet tropical conditions at 700 to 1100 metres in lower primary open mossy coniferous forests on rocky marble-like karst limestone and blooms in summer.
