Epidendrum fruticosum
Epidendrum fruticosum is a giant epiphyte first described in 1831. It is native to south Mexico through Central America, including Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua, at elevations from 1000 to 1900 metres. The plants grow in wet tropical climates, prefer cool temperatures and partial shade, and produce fragrant blooms during fall and winter.
