Epidendrum negropautense

Epidendrum negropautense is a large epiphytic orchid native to Ecuador. It occurs in the Morona-Santiago Province of southern Ecuador in primary forest at about 800 meters where it grows below the canopy of large trees among lichens and moss. The plant prefers intermediate temperatures and partial shade in wet tropical conditions and produces fragrant blooms in fall and winter.
