Epidendrum quisayanum is a large epiphytic orchid native to Ecuador where it grows in upper montane cloud forests on the western slopes of the Andes. It occurs on steep wet rocky embankments in moss at elevations from 2250 to 3300 metres in a wet tropical climate. The species prefers cold temperatures and partial shade and blooms in spring summer and fall.
