Epidendrum xanthinum
Epidendrum xanthinum, the yellow epidendrum, was first described in 1844. This giant plant occurs as an epiphyte and terrestrial in wet tropical climates in Colombia and Brazil at elevations from 1500 to 2200 metres. It prefers cool temperatures and blooms during spring, summer and fall.
