Lepanthes nephridia, known as the Kidney Lepanthes, is a miniature epiphytic orchid first described in 2012. It is native to the Morona-Santiago province of Ecuador where it grows at about 2500 metres in wet tropical conditions and prefers cold temperatures. Blooms appear in fall.
