Lockhartia hercodonta is a miniature epiphytic orchid from Mexico in Chiapas south to Ecuador. It occurs in lower montane rainforests at 500 to 1500 metres in wet tropical conditions with intermediate temperatures and partial sun. White flowers with an orange callus open successively in summer and fall on short terminal racemes.
