Lycaste macrobulbon is a large pseudobulbous epiphyte known as the Large Bulbed Lycaste. It comes from Colombia to Venezuela and west Brazil at elevations of 1200 to 2000 metres in wet tropical climates. The plant prefers cool temperatures and partial shade, with fragrant blooms in spring and summer.
