Malaxis acuminata

Malaxis acuminata is a terrestrial orchid of medium size that grows in lowland evergreen broadleaf forests. It is recorded from Assam India, Bangladesh, the eastern and western Himalayas, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, China, Vietnam, Java, Sumatra, the Philippines and northern Australia. It prefers hot conditions and flowers in winter, spring, summer and autumn.
