Masdevallia measuresiana belongs to the genus Masdevallia. It is a hybrid with seed parent Masdevallia amabilis, a species native to Peru, and pollen parent Masdevallia tovarensis, a species native to north Venezuela. Sanders registered the grex with the RHS in 1890.
