Maxillaria discolor

Maxillaria discolor, the different colored maxillaria, is a medium sized pseudobulbous epiphyte from Trinidad to Central and south Tropical America. It grows in wet montane forests at altitudes of 200 to 1600 metres in a wet tropical climate. The plant prefers hot temperatures and partial shade and blooms in spring, summer and fall.
