Myrmetonia Elaine Fisher belongs to the genus Myrmetonia. It is an intergeneric hybrid with seed parent Broughtonia sanguinea, a species native to Jamaica, and pollen parent Myrmecophila brysiana, a species native to south-east Mexico to Central America and south-west Caribbean. Claude Hamilton registered it with the RHS in 2005.
