Odontoglossum constrictum is an epiphytic orchid first described in 1843. It occurs in Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador at elevations from 1800 to 2300 metres. The large plants prefer cool temperatures and partial shade, producing fragrant blooms in fall, winter and spring.
