Oncidium abruptum, the sharp oncidium, is a small pseudobulbous epiphyte first described in 1922. It is native to western Colombia and Ecuador where it grows at 650 to 1400 metres in wet tropical climates. The plant prefers intermediate temperatures and partial sun.
