Oncidium crispum is a large epiphytic orchid first described in 1832. It occurs in the Brazilian states of Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo, Rio de Janiero, Sao Paulo, Parana, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul at elevations of 50 to 1200 metres. The plant prefers intermediate temperatures and partial shade and blooms in fall and winter.
