Oncidium tigrinum is a pseudobulbous epiphyte from central and south-west Mexico. It grows at 1600 to 2500 metres in a seasonally dry tropical climate on Pacific facing slopes in Jalisco and Michoacan. The medium sized plant prefers cool temperatures and partial sun and blooms in fall and winter.
