Its seed parent is the species Phalaenopsis violacea native to Peninsula Malaysia to Sumatera and its pollen parent is the hybrid grex Phalaenopsis tetraspis f. speciosa. The grex was registered with the RHS by L.Vincent in 1994. This page is for the named form f. coerulea.
