Moth orchid
Phalaenopsis marriottiana is a small epiphytic orchid native to Assam to China south-west and south Yunnan and Indo-China. It grows on limestone cliffs in deciduous montane forests and foothills at about 1300 metres. The plant prefers intermediate temperatures and partial shade and blooms in winter and spring.
