Phalaenopsis Tiny Melissa belongs to the genus Phalaenopsis. It is a registered hybrid with the seed parent Phalaenopsis pulcherrima, a species native to Assam to Hainan and west Malesia, and the pollen parent Phalaenopsis deliciosa, a species native to the Indian Subcontinent to China south Yunnan and Malesia. Rod McLellan Co. registered it with the RHS in 1966.
