Pleione limprichtii is a miniature terrestrial orchid first described in 1922. It occurs from south-west Sichuan and Yunnan in China to north Myanmar at elevations of 2000 to 2500 metres in humus rich soils or on mossy rocks in forests. This temperate species prefers cool temperatures and partial shade and blooms in spring and summer.
