Prosavola Notell belongs to the genus Prosavola and is an intergeneric hybrid. Its seed parent is the species Brassavola nodosa native to Mexico to Venezuala and south-west & south Caribbean, while its pollen parent is the species Prosthechea vitellina native to Mexico to Honduras. It was registered with the RHS by Mr/Mrs H.Jesup in 1970.
