Restrepiella ophiocephala

Restrepiella ophiocephala is a large epiphytic orchid from south Florida, Central Mexico to Colombia. It grows in damp lower montane forests with rivers and margins of swamp forest and coffee plantations at elevations of 40 to 1600 metres under wet tropical conditions. It prefers hot temperatures and partial shade and blooms in spring, winter and year-round.
