The grex Stanhopea Assidensis belongs to the genus Stanhopea. Its seed parent is the species Stanhopea tigrina native to Mexico and its pollen parent is the species Stanhopea wardii native to Nicaragua to Venezuela. H.Goldschmidt registered it with the RHS in 1922.
