Vanda Karulea XL is a hybrid in the genus Vanda. Its seed parent is the hybrid grex Vanda Kapiolea and its pollen parent is the species Vanda coerulea, native to Arunachal Pradesh to China (south Yunnan) and Indo-China. It was registered with the RHS by S.Oun-Anong in 1990.
