Paphiopedilum coccineum

Paphiopedilum coccineum is a small terrestrial perennial orchid native to Vietnam. It grows in fissures with small amounts of humus on exposed often vertical rock formations in limestone areas of the Ca Bang Province at elevations of 200 to 800 metres. This species from wet tropical regions prefers hot temperatures and partial shade and blooms in summer fall late summer and early fall.
