Paphiopedilum Maudiae Coloratum belongs to the genus Paphiopedilum. It is a hybrid with seed parent Paphiopedilum callosum, a species native to Indo-China to north-west Peninsula Malaysia, and pollen parent Paphiopedilum lawrenceanum, a species native to Borneo (Sabah, Sarawak). Charlesworth Ltd. registered it with the RHS in 1900.
