Paphiopedilum Maudiae x self belongs to the genus Paphiopedilum. It is produced by self-pollination of the grex from Paphiopedilum callosum, native to Indo-China to north-west Peninsula Malaysia, crossed with Paphiopedilum lawrenceanum, native to Borneo (Sabah, Sarawak). Charlesworth Ltd. registered it with the RHS in 1900.
