Zootrophion atropurpureum

Zootrophion atropurpureum is a miniature epiphyte from the Greater Antilles. It grows in wet montane forests on trees, logs and banks at elevations of 400 to 1300 metres in a wet tropical climate. It prefers intermediate temperatures and partial shade and produces fragrant blooms in summer, winter and late summer.
