About Zootrophion
Zootrophion species are epiphytes or terrestrials from wet tropical climates. They occur most frequently in Colombia and Ecuador, extending in some cases to north-west Venezuela. Elevations range from 400 to 2500 metres. Plants are miniature to small and favour intermediate to cool temperatures. Most species are fragrant. Flowering occurs in summer, fall and spring.
