About Aerides
Aerides species are epiphytic subshrubs from wet tropical regions. They occur from the Philippines and China to Tropical Asia, Indo-China, the Himalaya and north-east Sulawesi. Plants grow at elevations from 200 to 2000 metres. They favour hot to intermediate temperatures and reach medium to large sizes. Most species are fragrant. Blooms appear in spring, summer and fall.
