Angulocaste orchids

Angulocaste is an artificial hybrid genus whose registered hybrids combine Lycaste and Anguloa. Lycaste species are pseudobulbous epiphytes from Central America, ranging from Mexico to Honduras in a wet tropical climate. Anguloa species are pseudobulbous geophytes from Colombia to Peru and north-west Venezuela, also in wet tropical conditions.

Ten hybrids are catalogued. The examples include Angulocaste Ivan Portilla, Angulocaste Joiceyi, Angulocaste Anna Guseva and Angulocaste Ingrid Suarez.
