Batemannia orchids

Batemannia species are large pseudobulbous epiphytes with an epiphytic growth habit. They originate from Trinidad to Bolivia in a typical wet tropical climate. The elevation range of the species is 200 to 1200 metres. These plants have a typical temperature preference for hot conditions. Most species are recorded as fragrant. The main bloom seasons are spring and fall.
