Brassanthe orchids

Brassanthe is an artificial hybrid genus whose registered hybrids combine Brassavola and Guarianthe. Brassavola species come from Mexico to Venezuala and south-west and south Caribbean, the Caribbean from Colombia to Venezuela and Brazil from Bahia to Goiás. They grow as epiphytes or lithophytes in seasonally dry tropical climate. Guarianthe species occur from south Mexico to Central America, Mexico to Central America and Mexico in Chiapas to Honduras. They are pseudobulbous epiphytes in wet tropical climate.

Seven hybrids are catalogued. The example registered hybrids are Brassanthe Maikai, Brassanthe Bill Worsley and Brassanthe Kruger Angel.
