Campylocentrum orchids

Campylocentrum species are miniature epiphytic subshrubs. Their typical lifeform is an epiphytic subshrub and their growth habit is epiphytic. Species come from south-east Mexico to Tropical America, Ecuador, Central Mexico, the Caribbean, Colombia and north and north-east Brazil. The climate is wet tropical with a cool temperature preference. Bloom seasons are mainly summer and fall.

Four species are catalogued. Example species are Campylocentrum fasciola, Campylocentrum hirtzii and Campylocentrum micranthum.
