Cuitlauzina orchids

Cuitlauzina species are pseudobulbous epiphytes. They originate from areas ranging from Mexico in Chiapas to Nicaragua and from west and Central Mexico. The climates where they are found are seasonally dry tropical and wet tropical. A cool temperature preference is typical. The main seasons for blooms are spring and fall.

Three species and one hybrid are catalogued. Examples of the species are Cuitlauzina pendula and Cuitlauzina pulchella.
