Cyrtochilum orchids

Cyrtochilum species are pseudobulbous epiphytes or geophytes that grow terrestrially or epiphytically. They originate from regions including Ecuador to Peru and Colombia to Peru. The typical climate is wet tropical or montane tropical at elevations of 600 to 4000 metres. Plants reach medium to large sizes and favour cold to cool temperatures. Most species are fragrant with main bloom seasons in fall, winter and spring.
