Cyrtorchis orchids

Cyrtorchis species are large epiphytic subshrubs. They occur from west Tropical Africa to Uganda and through Tropical and south Africa. Climates are seasonally dry tropical and wet tropical. Elevations range from 1150 to 1250 metres. Temperature preferences are intermediate and cool. Most species are recorded as fragrant. Main bloom seasons are winter and summer.

Three species are catalogued. The example species are Cyrtorchis chailluana and Cyrtorchis arcuata.
