Dryadella orchids

Dryadella species are miniature epiphytes that grow in wet tropical climates. They occur from Colombia to Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica to north Brazil and other parts of west South America, at elevations from 50 to 3400 metres. These plants favour cold to intermediate temperatures and flower mainly in summer, fall and spring.

Seventeen species and one hybrid are catalogued. Example species include Dryadella hirtzii, Dryadella simula, Dryadella zebrina, Dryadella clavellata and Dryadella gnoma.
