Eriopsis orchids

Eriopsis species are small pseudobulbous plants. They grow as lithophytes and epiphytes in wet tropical climates from Panama to south Tropical America. The species occur at elevations of 80 to 470 metres and prefer intermediate and hot temperatures. Flowering takes place mainly in spring and summer.

Two species are catalogued. Eriopsis biloba is an example species.
