Gastrochilus platycalcaratus

Gastrochilus platycalcaratus is a miniature epiphytic subshrub. It occurs in dense forests on tree trunks in southern Yunnan province of China, Myanmar and Thailand at elevations of 700 to 800 metres in wet tropical climates. The plant prefers intermediate temperatures and partial shade and produces fragrant blooms in spring.
