Grammatophyllum orchids

Grammatophyllum plants are giant epiphytic pseudobulbous orchids from wet tropical climates. Species occur from Maluku to Santa Cruz Islands, Indo-China to west Malesia, the Philippines and Malesia to New Guinea. They prefer hot to intermediate temperatures and flower mainly in summer, spring and winter.

Thirty species and thirty six hybrids are catalogued. Example species are Grammatophyllum scriptum, Grammatophyllum speciosum, Grammatophyllum stapeliiflorum and Grammatophyllum wallisii. Example registered hybrids are GRAMMATOPHYLLUM SPECIOSUM Frgrant, Grammatophyllum Crownfox Leopard, Grammatophyllum Scriptum Citrinum and Grammatophyllum Scriptum Green.
