Guaritonia orchids

Guaritonia is an artificial hybrid genus. Its registered hybrids combine Broughtonia, Guarianthe, Cattleya and Cattleytonia. Broughtonia species are pseudobulbous epiphytes from Jamaica, Cuba to Puerto Rico and the Bahamas to Cuba in wet tropical climate. Guarianthe species are pseudobulbous epiphytes from south Mexico to Central America, Mexico to Central America and Mexico in Chiapas to Honduras in wet tropical climate. Cattleya species are pseudobulbous epiphytes from north Venezuela, west central and south east Brazil and south east and south Brazil in seasonally dry tropical climate.
