Isabelia orchids

Isabelia are pseudobulbous epiphytes or lithophytes. The species come from south-east and south Brazil, south-east and south Brazil to Argentina (Misiones), and Brazil. Typical climates are seasonally dry tropical and wet tropical. These plants prefer hot temperatures. Main bloom seasons are spring, winter and fall.

Four species and one hybrid are catalogued. Example species are Isabelia pulchella, Isabelia virginalis and Isabelia violacea.
