Isochilus orchids

Isochilus species are medium sized plants with a terrestrial growth habit. They originate from wet tropical climates ranging from Mexico to Tropical America and Mexico to Panama. These epiphytes or lithophytes occur at elevations from 300 to 3900 metres. Temperature preferences are intermediate or hot. The main bloom seasons are summer, fall and spring.

Two species are catalogued. The example species are Isochilus chiriquensis and Isochilus linearis.
