Micropera orchids

Micropera comprises epiphytic subshrubs native to wet tropical and subtropical climates. Their range extends from east India to west Malesia, including Arunachal Pradesh to Thailand, the Central Himalaya to Peninsula Thailand and the Philippines. They grow at elevations between 400 and 1200 metres. Typical plants are large or medium and suited to intermediate or hot conditions. Most species produce fragrance. The main bloom seasons are fall, spring and summer.

Four species are catalogued. Example species include Micropera Utriculosa, Micropera obtusa, Micropera pallida and Micropera rostrata.
