Neobathiea orchids

Neobathiea are epiphytic subshrubs from north and west Madagascar, Madagascar and EC Madagascar. They grow in seasonally dry tropical and wet tropical climates. These miniature and small plants prefer cool temperatures. Most species are fragrant. Bloom seasons are spring, late spring and early summer.

Four species are catalogued. The example species are Neobathiea hirtula, Neobathiea keraudrenae and Neobathiea perrieri.
