Nephelaphyllum orchids

Nephelaphyllum species are miniature terrestrial rhizomatous geophytes from wet tropical climates. They occur from China including Hong Kong and Hainan through Taiwan and from Indo-China to Malesia as well as from the Himalaya to the Philippines. Plants grow at elevations from 300 to 2000 metres and prefer hot temperatures. Flowering takes place mainly in spring and summer.

Two species are catalogued. An example species is Nephelaphyllum tenuiflorum.
